British Canoeing is the National Governing Body for canoeing in the UK.

Waterways are the arteries of Britain and British Canoeing aim is to help and inspire more people to go canoeing around the nation.

Canoeing is a sport and recreational activity which involves paddling a canoe with a single-bladed paddle. In some parts of Europe canoeing refers to both canoeing and kayaking, with a canoe being called an “open canoe”.
