The British Amateur Boxing Association is the National Governing Body (NGB) for boxing in the UK.

Boxing is fast, technical and requires very high levels of fitness. Scoring is based around technique with bouts decided by judges and the result is based on the number of punches that land in a ‘target area’.

The Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE) represents England as a member of the Amateur International Boxing Association (AIBA) and the European Boxing Council (EUBC).

As a national governing body, the ABAE is responsible for all the administration, development and promotion of amateur boxing throughout England.
