England Athletics is the National Governing Body for athletics and running in England.
Athletics includes a variety of track and field events, including running races and various competitions in jumping and throwing.
For many, athletics provides the ultimate challenge to their competitive abilities and that could be why hundreds of thousands of people across England are involved in athletics.
The range of disciplines across the track, field, road and off-road provides an incredible diversity of events for different people with different skills and abilities which means that it is impossible to stereotype what it means to be an athlete. For other people athletics is about fitness and participation but the range of age groups, events, competitions and clubs means that athletics really is a truly inclusive sport.
Lincolnshire Athletics Network was set up in conjunction with England Athletics to promote athletics across the member clubs of the county.
Clubs forming part of the network are Bourne Town Harriers, Gainsborough and Morton Stiders, Grantham Athletic Club, Lincoln Wellington Athletic Club, Louth Athletics Club, Mablethorpe Running Club and Sleaford Striders Athletic Club.
