Peter Wass is a Chartered Certified Accountant and Audit Manager with Dexter and Sharpe, a regional firm of accountants and business advisers with offices throughout Lincolnshire.
He currently manages audits and other tailored work across a range of large regional private companies and also charities in the ‘not for profit’ sector.
He has a strong audit background with the government watchdog the Audit Commission, for 18 years he carried out statutory audit, performance management and VFM work across local authority, health and probation board clients in the region.
Peter has performed responsible officer and audit work at academies following their conversion from LEA school to academy and helped ensure their reporting responsibilities were fulfilled and remain sufficiently robust.
Peter has participated in competitive sport throughout his life and his enthusiasm for sport remains. He is a keen advocate and participant of the ‘parkrun’ and all that this brings to general health and well-being in offering free access to exercise, for most with few restrictions throughout the country.
His accountancy skill set will provide ‘fresh eyes’ and focus to the board in ensuring our finance and governance responsibilities are met.
