We are happy to announce that we are bringing Street Tag to Lincolnshire, to help people easily access physical activity and develop their active lifestyle. In particular, the partnership will look at how to overcome the barriers that stop people from getting active, such as poor transport, safety, cost, and confidence.

Paul Barron CBE D.Sc. has been appointed as the new Chair of Active Lincolnshire. Paul becomes the fourth new member of the board this year joining alongside Neal Juster, Michael Morris and Sarah-Jane Mills who together complete the eleven strong board that supports the charities core work.

We are delighted to have distributed £198,682 of Together Fund grants to organisations across Lincolnshire, on behalf of Sport England, helping those groups of people whose activity levels were hardest hit by the Covid pandemic.

We welcome the news that the Government will continue their support for school sport funding, which includes £22 million for the nationwide network of School Games Organisers and more than £600 million for primary schools through the PE and Sport Premium.

Active Lincolnshire has been awarded £989k of Opening School Facilities investment from the Department for Education, to support Lincolnshire schools to open their facilities for local community and pupils to use, for sport and other physical activities, outside of the normal school day.

We are delighted to be able to share some exciting news about a new source of funding that is available to schools this year. The Opening Schools Facilities (OSF) funding is to facilitate schools to open their sports facilities up to the community and share the space to give more people a chance to get more active, more often.
