Nomination Deadline Extended
The nomination deadline for the annual Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards has been extended until midnight on Monday 13 September.
The extension applies to all Award categories and has been granted to allow schools extra time to submit their entries for the Active School Award, following their return to the classroom.
The annual Sport & Physical Activity Awards will be held on Thursday 11th November, and we are inviting nominations for individuals, groups and organisations to be submitted here.
The headline sponsor of the 2021 Awards is Lincoln Water Park.
For us, it is important to support local incentives that encourage people to be active. It's not necessarily about the best athletic ability, but for us is about enjoying what you do and striving to be your best. These awards celebrate commitment and achievement but also include community involvement and the passion of all the supporting teams involved. It's a pleasure to be involved with supporting the incredible athletes, support teams and clubs in Lincolnshire.
Suzi Nightingale, Managing Director, Lincoln Water Park
The Awards, which are in their 17th year, have also received support from a variety of local businesses, including; Active Nation, Lincoln Big, Branston Ltd, One You Lincolnshire, and Magna Vitae, each sponsoring an Award Category.
We are grateful to local businesses joining us to celebrate those individuals, volunteers, clubs, schools, and communities who actively contribute daily to the health and wellbeing of our county. We urge people from across Lincolnshire to make the most of the extended nomination deadline and get your nominations in to recognise those people who have made a positive difference through the power of sport and physical activity.

Dan Rogers, Head of Service, One You Lincolnshire
At Magna Vitae, we are passionate about supporting residents to achieve their fitness goals and ambitions whatever they may be. It is a pleasure to be part of an event that celebrates sporting achievement, those who have made a change in their lives, and equally those who are dedicated to supporting others on their health and fitness journeys.
James Brindle, Executive Director, Magna Vitae
The awards recognise the outstanding achievements of Lincolnshire athletes, including those who have performed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic Games. However the Sport & Physical Activity Awards are equally a celebration of the multitude of individuals, volunteers, clubs, schools, and communities, who actively contribute daily to the health and wellbeing of our county and who use physical activity to support positive change.
There are 10 categories in the 2021 Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards, 9 of which are open for public nomination. To nominate an individual, yourself, a club or an organisation for an award please click here.
