New Directors Join Active Lincolnshire Team
Following the launch of our three year business plan earlier this year, we are thrilled to welcome two new members of staff to the Active Lincolnshire leadership team. Clare Williams joins us as Director of Business Operations and Engagement, and Jonathan Frary as Director of Strategy and Place.
Responding to local need and emerging opportunities, our business plan sets out three strategic priorities; to support a resilient and relevant physical activity sector; to enable organisations to respond to the Let’s Move Lincolnshire strategy for physical activity and to develop a place-based focus to our work, with an unrelenting focus on tackling inequalities.
Both Clare and Jonathan will play pivotal roles in delivering against our priorities and advancing our mission to transform Lincolnshire into a place where every individual has the opportunity to be active every day. Working with the existing Development Director, CEO and the rest of the highly skilled and experienced team, they will help to shape and implement our Let’s Move Lincolnshire strategy and drive progress on our refreshed business plan.
Their appointments come as part of our new organisational structure, which positions us to effectively navigate the evolving landscape of place-based work. Clare and Jonathan will foster local partnerships and, working alongside the Active Lincolnshire team, champion a whole-system approach to tackling physical inactivity.
Emma Tatlow, CEO of Active Lincolnshire, shared her thoughts on the new appointments:
We are delighted to welcome Clare and Jonathan to our passionate, highly experienced team. Their diverse expertise and experience will be invaluable as we continue to deliver on our mission. They join us at an exciting time as we launch our new business plan and work with partners to drive systemic change, tackle inactivity, and improve the lives of people across Lincolnshire.
Jonathan Frary, as Director of Strategy and Place, will lead the mobilisation of the Let’s Move Lincolnshire strategy, working collaboratively with system partners to create an active Lincolnshire. His focus is on developing a sustainable, place-based framework while enhancing our capabilities in insight, intelligence, evaluation, and impact. Jonathan is passionate about supporting communities to find their own paths to a more active lifestyle. With an extensive background in operations, public health, and the physical activity sector, he brings a wealth of experience to drive true systemic change.
Jonathan commented on his appointment
I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to continue to pursue a passion for all things active, with such a committed and generally fantastic team! We face a broad range of systemic challenges surrounding the health of our communities, and we're committed to playing our part to provide opportunities for everyone in Lincolnshire to be active every day.
Working with partners and communities, to address inequalities and inactivity, responding to the needs of people and places.
