M2: Movement & Mindfulness - Spaces Available for Primary Schools
Following on from the success of last year of the Empowering Girls through M2: Uniting Movement and Mindfulness programme we are delighted to announce we are again able to fund a certain number of Lincolnshire Primary Schools to participate.
Helping girls to become more confident and more active
The M2 programme commits to creating inclusive environments for participants to explore movement and its positive impact. It delivers a fresh, relevant curriculum that reflects the lives of today’s primary-aged girls (Y3-6); bringing together physical activity and mindfulness practices, a combination shown to help girls become resilient, confident, and more active. During the programme, girls experience the powerful connection between moving their bodies and how they feel - mentally, physically, and emotionally. The non-competitive club encourages girls to go at their own pace and in the process, discover movement they enjoy.

What do Participating Schools get?
M2 Curriculum & Handbook: Comprehensive curriculum and printed handbook that provides an overview of the programme, its purpose and a weekly schedule of themed activities.

Who delivers the programme?
The programme is ideally delivered by a member of staff (who will receive an hour's online training) from the school although sports coaches or a combination of the 2 could be used. Full training and resources will be provided to the individual/s involved.
What does the club entail?
Each session, which usually run as an after-school club, will involve a group discussion, journaling, games, active lessons and workouts. The variety of activities makes sure that every girl can find something she loves and showcases different strengths.
