Further funding available from Sport England's Together Fund

Further funding available from Sport England's Together Fund

Following the successful distribution of Sport England's Together Fund to clubs and organisations across Lincolnshire, we’re delighted to be able to release £70,000 of further funding to benefit community groups and clubs in the county.

Active Lincolnshire is distributing the Together Fund in Lincolnshire on behalf of Sport England. This National Lottery funding is a continuation of the Tackling Inequalities fund, which has supported over 50 projects in the county, reaching over 10,000 Lincolnshire residents since 2020. The Together Fund exists to help to reduce the negative impact of coronavirus and support community groups working with our target audiences to introduce physical activity, grow participation and enable more people to be more active, more often.

We are supporting organisations who are working with residents facing the greatest barriers to participation; those from lower-socio economic groups, people from ethnically diverse communities, people with disabilities and/or long-term health conditions.

We have already awarded Together Fund grants to 11 organisations across the county this year. Projects that will benefit from the Together Fund include:

Lincoln Basketball

Lincoln Basketball C.I.C have been awarded a £4810 grant. The funding will enable the creation of affordable opportunities to participate in basketball and ongoing training and development for ethnically diverse communities in this area. The project will provide life-enhancing changes to health, wellbeing and employability, for participants involved.
