Active Lincolnshire Team pledge to collect litter during the Great British Spring Clean

The Great British Spring Clean organised by Keep Britain Tidy is set to take place from 21 March to 6 April 2025. Staff from Active Lincolnshire will be joining millions of Litter Heros across the UK to pledge to collect litter in our local area.

We'll be taking part in a lunchtime litter picking event during the Great British Spring Clean campaign. Since last summer we have organised regular staff litter picks around the trading estate area where we're based. During this time we've collected 24 full bags of litter.

The idea was originally initiated by student Kouki Kobayashi who did a work placement with us last year. The regular events support our commitment to the environment, but they are also a great opportunity to get our of the office get some fresh air, and boost our step count in the day. The monthly activity also provide a great opportunity to chat with colleagues from our own team but also from Nicholsons Accountants and Simons Design, who we share our office building with.

"Getting outdoors during a litter pick is a great way to clear your head, enjoy some fresh air and get your steps up for the day. It's also a good feeling to know that you're taking litter out of the environment, and making your local area cleaner".
