Tomorrow Saturday 8th July, the Lincolnshire Youth Association is hosting a National Association of Boys and Girls Clubs (NABGC) Table Tennis Competition.

The competition takes place at Dean’s Leisure Centre, Lincoln College, Monks Road, Lincoln from 10am with an expected end time of 4pm.

Admission to the competition is free and the main action is likely to take place between 11am and 3pm.

The Mayor of Lincoln and the Sherriff of Lincoln are two of the VIPs who will attend the event.

The Lincolnshire Youth Association (LYA), said: “This is a great opportunity to see a live table tennis competition.

“We would be really pleased to receive more supporters to give a good audience for the competition.”

Entries have now closed but the LYA is encouraging youth organisations to come along and watch, ask any questions and ensure their club is or can be NABGC affiliated through Lincolnshire Youth Association and Young Lincolnshire.

The LYA is still looking for general helpers, volunteers and stewards fir the event. Anyone interested in helping should ring 07818434346.

Anyone is welcome at the event but young people under the age of 16 must have a supporting worker with them or register appropriately at reception.

The Lincolnshire Youth Association reserve the right of admission, as do the leisure centre and college.

Each county in England and Wales agrees to run one national competition each year for NABGC and we have been allocated Table Tennis and we aim to keep this in Lincolnshire from now on.
