Boston Club Support Evening

Sports clubs in Boston are being encouraged to attend a free club support evening this month.

Volunteers, coaches, secretaries, treasurers and participants from sports clubs are invited to the event run by Active Lincolnshires Partnership.

With the focus of the evening being on how to engage Children and Young People through Sport, there will be information on funding for Under 16s and on the Olympic Torch Relay in Boston and how children can get involved. Clubs will also learn about how they can engage with schools.

Hayley Cook is the Boston lead and is hosting the evening. She said: “With an exciting summer of sport including Euro 2012, the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and the Egyptian Paralympic Team, now is the perfect time for clubs to inspire young people to take up sport. The evening is set to be a huge success.”

Tea and coffee will be provided for all attendees, during which clubs will get the chance to talk to Active Lincolnshires Partnership about any needs in their area.

The evening will take place on Monday 18th June 2012, from 6.30pm – 8.30pm, at The Pilgrim Lounge, Boston United Football Club. All sports and clubs from Boston are welcome.
