Michaela has over 35 years’ experience within the field of social care working for both unitary and county councils. She has substantial experience of working at a senior level with a range of partners, in particular the NHS, is a trained officer peer and has contributed to a range of national and regional health and care programmes and publications.
With a strong operational service delivery background Michaela’s approach remains firmly rooted in the realities of the front line and the experiences of people who use services. This is coupled with a MA in Health and Social Care Management and substantial experience of service transformation, policy and strategy development, performance, project and programme management, governance and coaching. In 2015 she established her own consultancy, coaching and training company.
Michaela has a passion for working with individuals and organisations within the care and health sector to improve outcomes along with a personal passion for physical activity and sport. Through her role on the Active Lincolnshire Board she hopes to combine the two and do what she can to ensure more people have the opportunity to improve their physical and mental health and wellbeing through greater participation in physical activity and sport.
