Backed by a degree from Loughborough University and qualified to level 7 in health and fitness, Mark has been fortunate to have a successful career in a number of key initiatives directly related to sport and physical activity. He has played and coached across numerous sports all his life, and is proud to have been selected to coach to elite international levels in futsal.
Mark has been passionate about being active through sport and exercise since childhood. He remains extremely committed to healthy lifestyles and healthy places of work and communities. He believes exercise and physical activity play a critical role in society for young and old to develop the competencies and behaviours to be successful in life and promote good physical and mental health and well-being.
As Chair, he is looking forward to helping Active Lincolnshire with their mission to make a positive difference through physical activity to the health & wellbeing of the County and establishing more opportunities to collaborate with partners across the county to see what collective impact we can have on activity levels within our communities.
Mark remains active, regularly enjoying the local countryside walking his dog and riding his mountain bike. He also makes use of the gym and classes that are on offer at work as well as trying to win the odd game of racketball!
