The Lincolnshire School Games programme organised by Active Lincolnshire and the School Games Organisers of Lincolnshire is a hugely popular programme. It is designed to keep competitive sport at the heart of schools and provide young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best, and this year it’s going virtual.
The Lincolnshire School Sports Partnerships and Active Lincolnshire who usually organise intra and inter school competitions, and co-ordinate the School Games County Finals have teamed up to make sure that the children and young people of Lincolnshire can still enjoy the spirit of the School Games from the safety of their homes.
A different virtual competition will be launched each week from Monday 20 April. On alternative weeks, primary and secondary school students can submit videos of themselves completing the challenges, which will focus on personal improvement and achievement.
A winner from each School Games Organiser area will be selected by judges for each sport and the winners will be shared and celebrated by Active Lincolnshire and the School Sports Partnerships on the Lincolnshire School Games County Finals day – Wednesday 1st July 2020.
