What's an MSOA?

An MSOA is a Middle Layer Super Output Area. They are part of the Office for National Statistics' system for dividing the country into smaller, standardised areas for the analysis of census and other statistical data. They typically have a population of 5,000 to 15,000 people and 2,000 to 6,000 households.
