Active Hospitals
The Active Hospitals programme is part of the Moving Medicine package of support for healthcare professionals. It aims to change the physical activity culture within hospitals to encourage patients to move more.
Active Hospitals recognises the role that physical activity can play in supporting patient recovery. Physical activity is also a key tool for reducing the risk of readmission due to injuries caused by deconditioning.
Helping hospitals make the case for physical activity
Moving Medicine has created a comprehensive toolkit of resources to support senior hospital administrators to take the steps necessary to become an Active Hospital.
