Director of Business Operations and Engagement

Full time role

The Director of Business Operations and Engagement is an exciting new leadership role with this ambitious charity that is working to tackle the challenge of physical inactivity and inequalities in access to options to be active. You will be contributing to improving the health outcomes and lives of the people of Lincolnshire.

As an experienced leader with organisational development skills and the ability to work with complex systems processes and a network of stakeholders, you will be responsible for leading and developing Active Lincolnshire’s core business functions including stakeholder stewardship and engagement, strategic communications, organisation wide performance oversight and financial growth.

You will have an agile collaborative approach, able to step into the role and develop it aligned with the strategic goals of the organisation. The scale and variety of our systemic role in tackling the challenge of inactivity requires vision, passion and people skills to respond to opportunities, influence and lead collective change.

Working closely with the CEO, Development Director and Director of Strategy and Place and with direct responsibility for a small team, the main purpose of the role is to drive business growth and performance aligning strategic connections, engagement and communication. You will have an agile and flexible approach, able to respond at a strategic level to the needs of the organisation and the direction of the work.

You will also ensure our core business functions align with the work, delivering on compliance and performance goals and enabling opportunites all through inclusive engagement and excellent communication.

We are clear about the contribution this role will have in our organisation and the impact it can make on our ambitions and place. We’re open minded though about the background and lived experiences someone would bring with them. We’ve identified some pointers to success below but even if you don’t think you quite meet all of the skills listed, we’d still love to hear from you.

To be effective in this role, you will have excellent leadership and organisational development skills, working within complex systems, processes, and contracts across multiple stakeholders internally and externally. You will be an exceptional team player and a leader, able to understand and translate complex information to influence and support people internally and externally to deliver on the Active Lincolnshire Business Plan and all of our contractual work, demonstrating and delivering impact.

Reward Package:
