Lincolnshire Virtual School Games County Finals

website header

The Lincolnshire Virtual School Games was launched in April to keep children across Lincolnshire active at home following lockdown with a programme of eight sport inspired competitions. Finalists from each of the eight competitions went forward to represent their schools in a Virtual County Finals, which went live at 10am on the 1 July. If you missed it you can watch the video, which features videos of all the finalists and commentary from special guests from the sports world, including  Loughborough Lighting captain and England Netball Player Nat Panagarry, and PGA Golf Pro Ashton Turner, above. See below for our list of finalists and schools in the final. We’ll be updating this soon with the winners for each competition.

The Lincolnshire School Games programme is a hugely popular annual programme, designed to keep competitive sport at the heart of schools and provide young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best.  Following the closure of schools in March, The Lincolnshire School Sports Partnerships and Active Lincolnshire who usually organise intra and inter school competitions, and co-ordinate the School Games County Finals, worked together to make it possible for children and young people across Lincolnshire to enjoy the spirit of the School Games from the safety of their homes.

The eight competitions children and young people could get involved with were: Dance, Athletics, Boccia, Cricket, Running, Tennis, Netball, and Golf.
