The Community Foundation Grant aims to improve people’s lives in the community who are currently excluded or disadvantaged.
This could be through low income, rural or social isolation, age, disabilities, race, sexuality or gender.
For those wishing to apply for the Community Foundation fund, priority will be given to small, locally based groups or organisations in areas of disadvantage that have a clear understanding of the needs of their community and are undertaking actions as a means of addressing these needs.
Comic Relief will only fund projects where the grant makes up at least 30% of the project costs. By way of background information, the annual allocation for Lincolnshire (including North and North East) is £37,000. The average grant is likely to be in the region of £2-3K and it may be wise to tailor your bid accordingly.
Deadline to apply for funding is March 1st or September 1st of each year.
