There are lots of events happening across Lincolnshire to celebrate the Olympic Torch Relay as it travels through the county.

City of Lincoln – Olympic Torch Relay Evening Celebration
Yarborough Sports Ground
Doors open 4.00pm, event starts 5.00pm.
From 5.00pm a lively programme of entertainment, with music, dancing and interactive activities will take place. The arrival of the Olympic Torch at approximately 6.50pm will include the lighting of the cauldron. The event is due to finish at approximately 7.30pm.

Brayford Waterfront and University of Lincoln
3.00pm onwards, fireworks finale 10.00pm
- Street stalls
- Have-a-go sporting activities
- Music, entertainment and fun
- Stage compered by Lincs FM presenters
- Watch the Torch Relay on the BIG screen
- Enjoy the ‘Follow the Light’ carnival procession as it follows the Torch and arrives at the University around 6.30pm
- High street shops open late
City of Lincoln – Lincoln Castle Celebration
Doors open 6.30am, event begins 7.15am
A celebration inside Lincoln Castle grounds to welcome the Olympic Torch Relay as it leaves Lincoln Cathedral at 8.00am on Thursday 28th June 2012. The event includes a Healthy Breakfast and Sporting activities for local schoolchildren as well as the general public and guests.
