Active Lincolnshire, in partnership with Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) will be delivering Lincolnshire’s first Think Active Conference on Friday 1 March 2019.
The conference is targeted at LPFT staff to showcase good practise and for staff development, with an extended invite to some third sector and community providers to promote what is currently available for people with mental health needs to access locally.
The main aim of the conference is to promote physical activity as a way of improving mental health and wellbeing. There will be a series of workshops, key note speakers and inspirational stories from those who have personal experience of physical activity having a positive impact on their own lives and mental health.
For further information about the conference please contact Donna Sutton by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Alongside the conference, there will also be a marketplace where providers offering services to people with mental health needs will be invited to showcase their services and activities. We are hoping to have a host of information stands, demonstrations and interactive stalls where LPFT staff and other attendees can visit between workshops to get a snapshot of what is on offer. It is then hoped that armed with this information, attendees can signpost their patients and service users to relevant activities on offer throughout the county, and implement what they have learnt.
The conference takes place on Friday 1 March 2019 at Bishop Grosseteste University.
There is no charge for marketplace providers and there may be an opportunity for 1 person per stand to attend a workshop during the day.
