This award is targeted for anyone aged over 18 on 6th November 2013 who has made an outstanding contribution to sport as an official, administrator or volunteer.

Alice Carter, 22 – Alice gives up her spare time every week, in addition to studying for a Masters’ degree and working part time, to volunteer across various sports in the Abbey ward of Lincoln. Currently, Alice is Volunteer Sports Development Officer and Coach at Abbey Lions Cubs F.C where she voluntarily runs a community sports project for children aged 3-5 years. Alice has volunteered on numerous resident led community projects which aim to address concerns local people have about their community. Earlier in the year, Alice was volunteer Sports Development Officer and Coach at Abbey Basketball Lincoln.

Keith Rossiter, 59 – Keith has spent two years working hard to bring Parkrun to Lincoln. Parkrun organise weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, completely free and are safe and easy to take part in. Parkrun offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy running or walking in the beautiful settings of Lincolnshire.

Jeanette Holden, 44 – In early 2013, when the junior section of Bracebridge Heath CC was struggling, Jeanette stepped in to help. Her input has turned the club around dramatically. She took full control, developed new managers and re-arranged numerous fixtures so that the juniors could play more cricket. During the winter she organised indoor training sessions, booked fixtures and helped arranged the 2014 season. Her enthusiasm and commitment never wavers.
