Most memorable achievement:
My most memorable achievement is winning the U13 County Championships two years young, aged 11. I am ranked 11th in the country.
I have played in the U12 Knotty Challenge in Staffordshire, I played well at singles and narrowly missed out on getting into the Semi Finals, I played with a New Partner at Mixed and Doubles, the mixed was a knock out and we only just lost in 3 games with the 3rd game losing 13-15, in the doubles I got through to the final and again narrowly missed out winning in the 3rd game 14-16.
I then played in the U12 Warwickshire Open, where I didn’t get on very well and was disappointed after I had done well at the Knotty Challenge.
In June I was to play in the U13 and U15 County Champs, where I won the Mixed and the Doubles at U13, before have to retire due to a tear to my Brevis Abductor (Groin), I have since then had to rest and have Physio for 2 weeks.
I have just started training again after injury, but currently there are no competitions, the competition season starts again in September, so currently I am training 3-4 nights a week in preparation for the new season.
I am using my leap funding to gain additional training, and work on my speed and agility.
U13 County Champs winners, I am at the back on the left.
It has been a tough season as I am a U12 this year playing in U13 tournament, so I have classed this as development year, this has meant no major wins, although I have ended up with 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals, the season is nearly at an end and the only tournaments I have left are 2 U12’s in May and the County Champs in June. I will be training hard over the summer to improve my speed and agility around the court, along with improved racket skills.
