Most memorable achievement:

My most memorable achievement was playing against the best players in the country and performing well throughout. In particular, I enjoyed playing as No 1 ranking for the East Midlands in the regional finals held in Birmingham.

August Blog:

I have had a good finish to the season .The last 2 events Hull and Leicester were both 2nd place finishes very tough losing in the finals 2 weeks on the trot. I am now training really hard getting ready for the regionals in September. At the moment we are working on core fitness and endurance training along with ironing out some technique & tactical issues. I have just completed a training camp run by 2 ex England players which was very tough and helped my game. Regular coaching sessions with the regional coach leading up to September plus hours and hours of work at my local club.

March Blog:

In December I played in the Pontefract Junior Open which is one of the biggest events in our calendar. Very tough as the top juniors are there from other countries as well .Out of a field of 64 juniors I came 25th I had the no1 Malaysian in the 2nd rnd which messed thungs up a bit.

January I played in the British Junior Open where juniors from all over the world attend played the eventual winner in the 1st rnd & came 45th overall out of 70

I also played as no1 for the county boys U13s in Manchester where as a team we finished 3rd in our group

No2 for the u15s where I am afraid we finished 4th out of our group.

March I played in the English Championships again a bad draw got the no1 seed in the 1st rind . Came equal 22nd out of a field of 40.

Regional team championships at the end of March where I will play no2 for East Midlands.

Silver Event at Hull which will give valuable ranking points.

Training  strength & conditioning work as stepped up considerably until a week before competition speed and agility work is an area of improvement for me so that is put into nearly all my sessions.

I am doing 5 sessions per week with 3 competitive matches as well.

I have gone from 44 in the U13 rankings to 37 and should rise into the top 30 for the start of April.

My Racket sponsors require a top 20 by the end of the season so lots of work still to do.
