In April I attended the Radford Open Meet in Sheffield, I achieved two long course p’bs.

In May was the Midland Championships, it was a crammed pack weekend, a lot of swims, not much turnaround time. I won the 200IM Championships trophy (Fastest swimmer in my age group (15/16 years) and senior age group (17 years and over). I won 3 Gold’s, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal in my age group. Also qualified 1st in 200 breast stroke heats but had to pull out of final due to all the finals being so close together.  Achieved National time in 200 breasts and gained two personal best times from the weekend.   At the end of May I attended another Open Meet in Sheffield and achieved two more British Gas ASA Senior National times for 200 and 400IM.  I broke 5 County records for male 16 years old and achieved 6 personal best times out of 7 swims and 5 gold medals.

March Blog:

On March 7th I competed at the British Championships/Olympic Trials at the London Aquatic Centre.  I swam in the 200 Backstroke event and posted a long course personal best time and a new County record. The trip was a great opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of the new pool and great experience for the future.

During March I have competed in the Lincolnshire County Championships.  I am Senior County Champion in 200 and 400IM, 50,100 and 200 Back, 100 and 200 Freestyle, and broke the 200 backstroke Club record and broke 3 Lincolnshire County records.  I won the Men’s Skins competition.

I have 2 or 3 meets at Ponds Forge Swimming Pool in Sheffield, 31st March I will be competing at the Premier Open Meet, 15th April Radford Open Meet and possibly May 26th/27th May. My aspirations for these meets are to better my personal best times.

The Midland Championships take part in Coventry Pool on 5th/6th May and I am hoping to become Midland Champion in my best event and medal in my other events.

I will be training up to and through all these competitions, training 9 times a week, morning and evening along with 4 land training sessions a week.

On the weekend of 6th/7th/8th April I will be attending my third British Talent Development Camp at Corby International Pool.  It is an intensive long weekend of training, physio screening and workshops run by high class professionals to aid my development in swimming.
