Inclusive Sport

Active Lincolnshire works with key partners to improve inclusive sport across the county.

Active Lincolnshire works in partnership with a whole host of businesses, schemes and charities to provide a wide variety of opportunities for people with disabilities and impairments, to help progress inclusive sport in Lincolnshire.

How inclusive is Lincolnshire?

Lincolnshire has more leisure centres accredited with the Inclusive Fitness Initiative than any other county of the same size in the UK.

If you are aged 18+ and have a disability, you might be eligible for Exercise Referral which will help find the right activities for you.

The Wheelchair Sports Programme has allowed schools to use more than 170 wheelchairs regularly in PE lessons.

Active Lincolnshire works with Rounders England to roll out the hugely successful Inclusive Rounders across the country. Rounders England have now commissioned Active Lincolnshire to develop their model and coaching course to four other County Sport Partnerships across the country.
