Codes of Conduct

Clubs and organsiations have codes of conduct for members, spectators and parents.

Coaches are often seen as role models and so it is important that they adhere to the coaches code.

Coaches also need the cooperation of players, parents and spectators so that they feel supported. It is therefore important that the structure of the organisation reinforces the codes for all and that there are procedures in place to take action for any breaches.

Your club should have its own coaches code of conduct but Sports Coach UK and many national governing bodies have templates which can be adapted by your organisation if they are not already in place.
