British Fencing is the National Governing Body (NGB) for the Olympic Sport of fencing in the United Kingdom.
Fencing is simple and cheap to start and keeps both your body and brain active. There are three different types of fencing – epee, foil and sabre.
In fencing, weapons are wired electronically to record when a hit is scored. In foils and epee, points can only be scored by the point of the weapon making contact with the opposition. In the case of the foil, only a hit on the torso counts. In the epee, the whole body is the target. In sabre, points can also be scored by hitting the arms and head.
