Jon GrubbActive Lincolnshire’s Chair, Jon Grubb, has announced his resignation from the Board after four successful years at the helm. Jon, a former editor of the Lincolnshire Echo and owner and managing director of Grubb Street Media, has stepped down due to pressures of work. He has handed over to acting Chair, Dan Ellmore.

Dan said: “On behalf of the Board and everyone at Active Lincolnshire I would like to thank Jon for all of his hard work and leadership over the last four years. During this time, Active Lincolnshire has changed hugely and developed tremendously as a business, thanks in no small part to Jon’s guidance and leadership.”

Janet Inman, CEO of Active Lincolnshire said: “Jon has been a guiding light for us as we made the transition into a more commercially astute business. His support has given us the leadership and drive we needed to ensure Lincolnshire continues to be an innovative, physically active county.”

Dr Rona Makenzie, founding Principal of Lincoln UTC, has also been appointed acting Deputy Chair due to the departure of Richard Parnell who left the board in December to take up a legal position with Sunderland Football Club.
