Nominations for this year’s Active Lincolnshires Awards close today.

At 11.59pm tonight the nomination process for the Active Lincolnshires Awards 2016 will close.

So, with only just over 12 hours to go before nominations close, here’s all the information you need to nominate.

To nominate your choices, complete the nomination form or request a word document version by emailing zoe.conville@lincolnshiresport.com.

Please note: you must complete one nomination form per award. All nominations will close on July 22.

The full list of awards and criteria are as follows:

  • Sportsman of the Year
    • Aged over 18 on the 3rd November 2016
    • Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at district, county, regional, national or international level.
  • Sportswoman of the Year
    • Aged over 18 on the 3rd November 2016
    • Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at district, county, regional, national or international level.
  • Young Sportsman of the Year
    • Aged under 18 on the 3rd November 2016
    • Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at district, county, regional, national or international level.
  • Young Sportswoman of the Year
    • Aged under 18 on the 3rd November 2016
    • Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at district, county, regional, national or international level.
  • Veteran Sportsperson of the Year
    • Competing at a Veteran level applicable to their sport
    • Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at district, county, regional, national or international level.
  • Disabled Sportsperson of the Year
    • Aged over 18 on the 3rd November 2016
    • Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at district, county, regional, national or international level.
  • Young Disabled Sportsperson of the Year
    • Aged under 18 on the 3rd November 2016
    • Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at district, county, regional, national or international level.
  • The Michael Beard Coach of the Year
    • A coach who has made a major contribution to the lives of people through their coaching and achieved positive results throughout the year
  • Sports Club of the Year
    • Made a substantial contribution to the local community
    • Must have achieved or be working towards Clubmark or similar club accreditation and have good school/community links.
  • Sports Volunteer of the Year
    • Aged over 18 on 3rd November 2016
    • Have made an outstanding contribution to sport as an official, administrator or volunteer.
  • Young Sports Volunteer of the Year
    • Aged under 18 on 3rd November 2016
    • Have made an outstanding contribution to sport as an official, administrator or volunteer.
  • Active School of the Year
    • A school that has made an outstanding contribution to physical education, sport, wellbeing or healthy living, through teaching, coaching, organising or administration.
  • Active Workplace Award
    • A workplace whose employees have shown great commitment to taking part in an active lifestyle and are encouraged to do so by their employers.
  • Get Active, Been Active
    • Have made an outstanding contribution to physical activity as an administrator, official or volunteer OR an individual who has used physical activity to make a positive difference in their life over the past 12 months
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
    • Have made an outstanding contribution to sport in Lincolnshire for 25 years plus.
