Active Lincolnshire has received £1485 from the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, after being selected as their charity of the year for 2015.

Throughout the year, the Chamber ran a series of successful events to raise awareness of Active Lincolnshire’s work, and utilised events such as the annual Chamber Banquet and Golf Day to fundraise.

Janet Inman, Chief Executive Officer at Active Lincolnshire, said:

“We’re grateful to the Chamber of Commerce for selecting us as their charity of the year. The money raised will be spent on a number of our projects, particularly some of the projects that support disabled families in Lincolnshire.”

Paul Banton, President of the Lincoln Area Chamber, said:

“Our members and business associates have been incredibly generous in their support of Active Lincolnshire throughout the last year. We are delighted to be able to hand over a cheque to Active Lincolnshire, and trust that the money will contribute to the development of sport and physical activity in Lincolnshire.”
