The online consultation, available until Friday 26th February, asks for suggestions to tackle inactivity, the approach to investment and encouragement of volunteering in sport.
It has been published as a result of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s (DCMS) “Sporting Future: A new strategy for an Active Nation”, published in December 2015.
On the Sport England website, it says:
“Sporting Future clearly explains what needs to be achieved, and it’s our job to deliver those goals. We’re currently working to create a powerful strategy that will enable us to achieve our objectives.
“And that’s where you come in. As we put our plans in place, we’d like to ask for your expertise in shaping this strategy.”
Janet Inman, Chief Executive at Active Lincolnshire, said:
“Sport England’s consultation is a chance for individuals, groups, businesses and clubs to have their say on Sport England’s sporting strategy – and share any ideas they have about promoting sport and activity nationally.”
