The sports charity had previously been based at Allenby Business Village on Crofton Road in Lincoln since 2006.
Janet Inman, Chief Executive of Active Lincolnshire, said: “We are thrilled to have finally moved into our new office facility. Eco One is a modern, forward thinking building and we feel it is a much more suitable home for Active Lincolnshire which is more in keeping with our aspirations as an organisation.”
The building itself, managed by the owners of Highcliffe Farm, was completed in 2011 and is one of the most environmentally friendly office spaces available to rent in Lincolnshire. Eco One benefits from very low carbon emissions and is a BREEAM ‘Excellent rated’ building.
Upon cutting the ribbon to officially open Active Lincolnshire’s new home, Chairman Jon Grubb commented on the importance of the move to a more suitable home, quoting American Footballer and Miami Dolphins legend, Dan Marino; “Having home field is an advantage, but so is having a lot of talent.”
Jon went on to thank Active Lincolnshire’s staff and Directors for their efforts in making the move to Eco One a reality as they look forward to the future in their new home and strive to improve sporting opportunities across the whole county and support the health and wellbeing of Lincolnshire’s population.
