Sports Makers across Lincolnshire have the opportunity to apply for a coaching bursary from May 1, 2013, which can fund up to half of a National Governing Body coaching course.

The coaching bursary, which is funded by Sport England, is open to any Active Lincolnshires Maker who has completed and logged at least 25 Sport Makers hours on the Sports Makers website, and who is a member of the Lincolnshire Coaches Network.

Sport Makers can apply for up to 50% of a Level 1 National Governing Body Coach Education course cost, with a maximum of £50. Individual Sports Makers need to apply for themselves on the official Active Lincolnshires Makers Coaching Bursary paperwork.

The first round for applicants opens on Wednesday, May 1 and closes Sunday, June 30, 2013. Round two opens Monday, July 1 and closes Saturday, August 31, 2013.

Lizzie Borrill, Workforce Development Manager, said: ‘This coaching bursary enables Sport Makers to gain a qualification to help them in their coaching journey. It is great opportunity to reward and recognise our Active Lincolnshire Makers, who work hard to create more active lifestyles.’
