Local businesses are invited to celebrate the success of sport in Lincolnshire at the Active Lincolnshires Awards 2012.

The Active Lincolnshires Awards, which will be hosted by BBC Sport presenter John Inverdale, takes place on Thursday 8th November at the Lincolnshire Events Centre. It will honour the county’s sporting heroes, including our Olympic and Paralympic athletes, grassroots and elite sports clubs, coaches and volunteers.

Active Lincolnshires Partnership is looking for support from local businesses to help celebrate the county’s great sporting achievements by sponsoring an award and attending the most prestigious sporting event in Lincolnshire.

Last year over 350 guests attended the event, including Team GB Paralympians Kieran Tscherniawsky and Jamie Carter and England cricket star Arran Brindle.

Navaz Sutton, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Active Lincolnshires Partnership, said:

“The Active Lincolnshires Awards is one of the premier events in Lincolnshire and recognises the achievements of our local sportspeople from elite to grassroots level.”

“We are expecting a number of our Olympic and Paralympic competitors to be joining us for the evening and we will be encouraging them to bring along their medals. We will also be inviting a number of our county torchbearers to come along with their torches.”

“The Active Lincolnshires Awards will be extra special and a perfect opportunity for businesses to show their support. There are a variety of sponsorship packages available so businesses of all sizes can be involved in this fantastic celebration of Lincolnshire’s sporting success.”
