New Dodgeball sessions have landed in Gainsborough this month with youngsters aged 14 – 20 years of age encouraged to get involved.

The first session ran last Friday at Trent Valley Academy in Gainsborough and will run every week of the summer holidays between 6pm – 7pm.

The sessions are part of Sportivate, a Sport England initiative to get more young people involved in sport and physical activity. The sessions are focussed around learning the basic techniques and rules whilst playing Dodgeball.

Emma Hearn, Dodgeball coach, said: “Dodgeball is great fun and a different sport for people to try and enjoy. It is pretty fast and challenging, but everyone who has attended has really enjoyed it”.

The sessions are open to anyone aged 14 – 20, with the first week being completely free and costing only £1 a week after that.

To get involved, just come along this Friday to the sports hall at Trent Valley Academy or for more information, call Shane on 07940 954140.
