40 Sport Makers in Lincolnshire could win Olympic Tickets

40 Sport Makers in Lincolnshire have qualified in time for the Sport England Olympic Ticketshare draw.

Each Sport Maker that completed ten hours of volunteering before 30thApril will be entered into a draw to secure one of hundreds of pairs of tickets to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and 40 people in Lincolnshire will be entered.

Lizzie Couling, Workforce Development Manager at Active Lincolnshires Partnership, said: “It’s great to see that 40 Sport Makers have logged 10 hours. I hope that they’re lucky enough to secure a pair of Olympic tickets.”

Coordinated by Active Lincolnshires Partnership, Sport Makers aims to inspire 548 people in Lincolnshire to get involved in sport. Anyone aged over 16 years can become a Sport Maker by registering online and then attending one of several workshops across Lincolnshire.

The next Sport Maker workshops will be on 10th May in Grantham (venue TBC), 24th May at Bishop Grosseteste University College from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, and 7th June at Carres Grammar School, Sleaford from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
