Lincolnshire Club & Coaches’ Conference

IMG_6937Active Lincolnshire is committed to providing sports clubs workforce and individual coaches the best possible opportunities to take on further personal development within the county

The Active Lincolnshire Club and Coaches’ Conference is aimed to do just that. By identifying experts in their field from across the East Midlands we provide unique workshops on the following topics for coaches:

  • Practice and Planning of strength training for Young Athletes
  • Performing Under Pressure Toolkit
  • Coaching the teenage Athlete
  • Motivating your performers & creating a winning Environment
  • Performance Analysis

For club members we put on an equally informative selection of workshops, including:

  • Getting the most from Marketing and Communications
  • Increasing your members and driving Participation
  • Retaining and Recruiting Volunteers

IMG_6951Saturday 6th September 2014 saw the first Active Lincolnshire Club & Coaches’ Conference held at Bishop Grosseteste University with over 30 attendees from across the county and a variety of sports.

Speakers and Tutors included Philip Clarke  MSc. PHD -Associate Lecturer at the University of Derby Ben Lewis BSc- ASCC, CES  Sport 981, Dave Moorcroft- Sports Director Join in, Paul Bowen MSc Derby College and Franky Mulloy MSc., Sports Biomechanics PhD Research Student, University of Lincoln

All delegates rated the event as ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’ and would recommend the event to any individual coaching or involved with sport in the county.
