Categories

Please note our eligibility for Lincolnshire Sport and Physical Activity Awards 2019:

  • All achievements outlined are within the last 12 months (November 2018 – November 2019)
  • The nominee / college / club (etc) must reside or represent within the seven districts of Lincolnshire (City of Lincoln, West Lindsey, North Kesteven, South Kesteven, Boston, South Holland and East Lindsey).
  • The results and qualifications must be a true reflection and must fall within November 2018 – 7th November 2019.
  • The nominee must be within the correct age category:
    o Young – aged under 18 on 1st November 2019
    o Adult – aged 18 or over on 1st November 2019

Sportswoman of the Year

Aged 18 or over on 1st November 2019
Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at regional, national or international level.

Sportsman of the Year

Aged 18 or over on 1st November 2019
Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at regional, national or international level.

Young Sportswoman of the Year

Aged under 18 on 1st November 2019
Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at regional, national or international level.

Young Sportsman of the Year

Aged under 18 on 1st November 2019
Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at regional, national or international level.

Veteran Sportsperson of the Year 

Competing at a veteran level applicable to their sport
Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at regional, national or international level.

Disabled Sportsperson of the Year

Aged 18 or over on 1st November 2019
Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at regional, national or international level.

Young Disabled Sportsperson of the Year

Aged under 18 on 1st November 2019
Have displayed an outstanding level of personal achievement at regional, national or international level.

The Michael Beard Coach of the Year

A coach (can be paid or employed) who has made a major contribution to the lives of people through their coaching and achieved positive results throughout the year.

Sports Club of the Year 

Made a substantial contribution to the local community

Sports Volunteer of the Year 

Aged 18 or over on 1st November 2019

Young Sports Volunteer of the Year

Aged under 18 on 1st November 2019

Active Primary School of the Year

A school that has made an outstanding contribution and/or approach to the delivery of physical activity, healthy lifestyles and wellbeing across the WHOLE of the school.

Sports Department of the Year (Secondary, HE/FE) 

A department within a secondary school, college or University who has inspired or led change in PE, school sport, or the delivery of sport and physical activity.

Active Workplace Award 

A workplace whose employees have shown great commitment to taking part in an active lifestyle and are encouraged to do so by their employers.

Physical Activity Award (Programme)

A programme, inititiative or organisation that has made a contribution to Physical Activity.

Active Change Award (Individual) 

An individual who has used Physical Activity to make a positive difference in their life over the past 12 months.

Lifetime Achievement Award 

Have made an outstanding contribution to sport in Lincolnshire for 25 years plus.

 Sports Personality of the Year

All winners are eligible for this category.
