Walking & Cycling

Active Lincolnshire is working with Lincolnshire County Council to get more people across the county walking and cycling.

There are currently two projects around these areas: Cycle60 and winter walks. With more to come in 2017, including a workplace challenge event, and lots of beautiful countryside to use in Lincolnshire, this is certainly something to keep an eye on…

Cycle60 is best described as a couch-to-10-miles training programme. The aim of the programme is to get 100 people in Lincoln who don’t regularly use their bike to cycle for at least 60 continuous minutes, or 10 miles, after eight weeks. Click here for more information or to sign up for a ride. Please note that places are limited to eight per ride, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Festive themed treasure hunt style walks will be available at Hartsholme and Boultham parks between Wednesday 21st December 2016 and Tuesday 3rd January 2017. These walks are self-guided and you can do as many or as few as you’d like. There are unique pictures to find and codes to collect on each walk and there are prizes to be won courtesy of Active Nation.
