In the last three years, more than £1 million has been invested in sports facilities in Lincolnshire.

Thanks to the Inclusive Fitness Initiative, Sport England’s Inspired Facilities Fund, Lincolnshire Active Community Network (LACN) and many more organisations, sports facilities in Lincolnshire have received a huge investment which will benefit the county’s population.

Despite 25% of the county taking part in sport and activity three times per week or more, it is estimated that up to 500,000 people in Lincolnshire are not getting the exercise or activity they require.

Is this because the facilities are unavailable?

So whether your sports club which owns its own clubhouse, if you own a leisure centre or a gym, or you are a village hall looking for new sporting activities, this part of the website is here to help. This section will look at:

  • Lincolnshire Active Community Network; our partner organisation looking to increase use of village halls, community centres and church halls across the county by increasing sporting, physical and cultural activities in the local community
  • Inclusive Fitness Initative; Lincolnshire’s Inclusive Fitness Initative was the biggest initiative outside of London to increase accessibility to 19 facilities in Lincolnshire. 15 facilities are fully accessible
  • Inspired Facilities Fund; £624,000 was invested in Lincolnshire facilities in 2012 – find out how your club can benefit
By supporting facilities in the local area, Active Lincolnshires Partnership wants to encourage more people to take part in sport and activity.
