Our mission is to make a positive difference through physical activity a to the health & wellbeing of our community.
Our Strategy & Vision 2018 – 2021
Our vision is that by 2021 an extra 20,021 people who are currently inactive will be leading a more active life.
This is an ambitious target and we can’t do this on our own. We have produced a three year Strategic Plan for Physical Activity (2018-2021) which outlines some of the challenges in creating a more active society and how we need people and organisations to come together to make change happen .
We are one of 43 County Sports Partnerships across England that are working to make physical activity and sport a part of everyone’s life, regardless of age or background. Mainly funded by Sport England, we are helping to deliver their strategy, Towards an Active Nation, across Lincolnshire. This strategy focuses on groups that traditionally are more likely to be inactive, such as women and girls, people living with a disability or health condition or those from less affluent backgrounds.
Our team is made up of professionals with backgrounds in sport, physical activity and communications. Meet the Team.
Other members of the community who pledge their support are our Board members; a selective group of individuals whose experience and enthusiasm for sport and activity make them ideal candidates as Directors for Active Lincolnshire. Meet the Board.
Sport England’s Code for Sports Governance sets out the levels of transparency, accountability and financial integrity required from those benefitting from Government and National Lottery funding. We follow Sport England’s code for Sports Governance in terms of transparency, accountability and financial integrity that is required from those benefitting from Government and National Lottery funding.

Active Lincolnshire Equality Policy
The policy has been created with an aim to improve equality of access to sport and the promotion of equal opportunities for all.
Public Organisations are legally obliged to ensure that they do not discriminate against participants, employees, and volunteers on grounds of disability, gender, and race.
Our Commitment to Diversity on the Active Lincolnshire board:
We do not pursue diversity for the sake of it or to achieve a ‘tick-box’ result; we do it because diversity brings new thinking and challenge to old ideas. Not only do we want our board and staff to reflect the population they serve we want them to ensure we consider and cater for all aspects of Lincolnshire society when we make decisions about where we use our resources. We are committed to having no less than 1/3rd of our board from either gender, we welcome and encourage applications from all members of society without prejudice to age, sexual orientation, disability, gender, religion or race. We will ensure any board vacancies receive the widest possible coverage to guarantee that opportunities are seen and available to all.
